A T.V researcher calls you and says something along the lines of...'It's Jo from I.T.V's....(programme name)'
CONGRATS...you just made it to stage 2!! and a step closer to your T.V dream. Here your T.V person will want to get a feel of the person they're talking to and whether their initial impressions of you are correct. You'll be encouraged to chat about yourself and given more info on the programme you are applying for.

Let your personality shine through. Don't do the 'yes' or 'no' answer unless it's to an obvious question like...'do you hold a full U.K driving license?'

Be upbeat. Be positive in tone. Your voice is all they have to go on remember.

One big tip here. If asked  'Is it a good time to talk and it isn't be honest and say so!'  I speak from experience. Once in a very long traffic jam with an accident in front and police signalling in front I screwed up on a big T.V show audition and consequently lost out. Don't make the same mistake as me

First of all you need to determine what it is you want to do e.g  Be on a reality show, in a film, in a music video....the list goes on...............


Let's start with what you can offer. It's an interview for a job albeit for T.V. So as with a job you need to be prepared and do you research. 


Auditions for a reality show start with a written application.


 Step 1 of the process. Sell yourself. Be inventive and original. Avoid answering 'yes' or 'no' and NEVER leave a blank space. Let your personality shine through. Reality T.V looks for a spark, a desire, a curiosity, a SOMETHING. Boring and bland never wins the race.

Isn't it  great when so much exists in the world of the web to create positive PR for yourself, your business or the cause you believe in?

I remember going full at it to save a local newspaper office from closure and the accompanying  loss of jobs that would ensue.

My campaign started (in my head) with raising awareness locally. You know a couple of hours here and there to three half days a week petitioning locals and businesses to campaigning at my headquarters inthe front reception area of the offices to create a sea of flowers in 'memory' of the closure of a prime resource.

A couple said 'why bother?' but most understood and supported.

Apathy is a disease and needs stamping out....................

Three thousand signatures later we had made a valid point. We lost the battle BUT won the war.

Having realised how difficult it is to get on T.V anyone who does should give themselves a great big pat on the back. After twelve years as an agent I know from both sides of the fence how hard it is.There's always an element of luck and talent and personality. No one likes bland and boring on T.V. 

We want to see actors & performers who stimulate a reaction from us good or bad. If you seriously want a stab at this industry get the appropriate training, work hard, BELIEVE in yourself and apply or and get a good agent.

QUIZ TRIPPERS July Transmission!!!!

CH4 have listed the much anticipated 'Quiz Trippers' for July transmission. Follow myself and four strangers living in a confined space within a mobile home laughing, crying, stressing and certainly for me being myself. Yes I shout, yes I cry, yes I laugh and have a mischievous air BUT  I really wanted to soak up the experience touring through beautiful Scotland.

I was told it would be a road trip like no other and boy were they right but for all it's highs and some lows it was THE most amazing experience.

Televised over five tea time slots I hope 'Quiz Trippers' and the drama of the nightly quizzes as well as the drama amongst the team keep you hooked.
