Too drained to attend my psychic meeting last night..

Heavy week. Last night I should have gone to my meeting but I just didn't have ANYTHING to give and there is sometimes a pressure on me (from me) to give messages so felt it best not to go.

I'm a cup half full most of the time. My personality is a bit like a strong, shining light that others can feed off. Must renew those batteries! When you give out so much it's important to remember to take something back in.

Off to Holland for a few day end of next month. Really want to see Anne Franks home. My memory of Amsterdam was as a child when my mum asked me if I wanted a roll mop herring -yuk!

This time it will be cheese:)...........................

Next Piece of Media Work.

I'm taking part in a magazine discussion on the 9th for Grazia Magazine. Looking forward to it. Haven't taken part in anything like this before though I have given magazine/press interviews.

Was given a couple of possible topics. From memory alcohol and divorce were two out of the three.

Will feed back when I know more x

The Psychic Stuff

When I was six I awoke to find the silhoutte of a man sat at the side of my bed. He was built like a body guard. Definitely not my Dad. He never spoke. I threw the covers over my head frightened. I've seen that man three times in my life. He never speaks. I'm told he visits at crisis moments in my life -yes, perhaps. He is by no means the only 'person' who visits me. I'm not frightened.

I do however attend Spiritualist meetings where I take part in open circle sessions where I can give messages to others.

I get warnings of messages in many ways. A telephone rings -not not a mobile or a landline. This is like a trill phone tone that wakes me. I get yelled at so loudly it frightens me or just a gentle whisper.

Lots of information is given to me often at inopportune moments. It's me that needs to say go away until a more appropriate time.

More to follow on this..................................

Self Promotion

As Brits we tend not to feel comfortable singing our own praises yet self promotion is a necessary part of developing your career and accompanying opportunities further. For years I promoted others -happily but when it was my turn to promote me it felt weird.

I have had links into performing arts or as long as I can remember. My father took me to Bury Children's Theatre as a child where I met an amazing woman Anne Dutt. It was there I realised I would have a go at this.

Since I've been a Bultlins redcoat. Ran a stage school and appeared in both t.v and radio as well as nurturing my psychic abilities.

Grab all the opportunites that come along. Don't sit there ten years from now and say ..'if only'

Sometimes it's better to take a less travelled road to get to your destination!!!

Touring Scotland and living together in an R.V for CH4 with a bunch of strangers

Well, our last day together brings us through the most breathtaking scenery leading through Pitlochry to our final quiz destination in the village of Moffat some eight miles from Lockerbie. Bitter sweet day. We had to win on our last day. Nothing else mattered (to me). See our team!

Do we do it well, just have to wait and watch.

This was the most amazing road trip I could ever take and I never even told you about the car sick stop for me. The sheep army (Harry Hill moment!), the toothpaste cake or.....well, you'll just have to watch and see for yourself.

I count myself as very lucky to have been given the chance by CH4 to appear in what will be their next hit show.

I want to personally thank everyone inc the crew who were on their feet some eighteen hours a day and my team mates. Thank you x

Touring Scotland and living together in an R.V for CH4 with a bunch of strangers

Well, today we're off to Edinburgh. I have fond memories of the place as it was my final school trip destination. I was so looking forward to getting the possible opportunity to look around . Princess Street perhaps where I bought my mum the decorative blue wall plate i later broke it:(. Had an argument with room dimensions and a Christmas Tree !!!

The sun shone gloriously as our trip began following a late start, a windy walk and a picture for Jen outside the public toilets -don't ask!

The roads were pretty congested as we got into Edinburgh and we just never got to see the sights sadly. At the caravan park the weather changed and by the time we reached 'The Newsroom'  our Thursday night venue the heaven's had well and truly opened and my pacamac which I'd worn a couple of times came into it's own. See pic above:

The Newsroom was in my opinion the worst venue in terms of the host. He continually put us down a very opportunity -guess he was on a power trip - so sad. Each night we gave an interview to camera. I couldn't help but discuss the host.

Once again won't give results, you will have to watch. Each night we voted for a member of the team who stood out for us personally. At the end of the week that person won any prize money or prizes collected throughout the week. Jen - she kept my sanity and helped me to lose it in equal measure!!

Touring Scotland and living together in an R.V for CH4 with a bunch of strangers

Episode 3  'D Day'

After a late night visit from Sarah I awake bright and early. I head down for breakfast as I know the days of a fry up will be non existent during the next week. I even try haggis. Not bad...better than black pudding.

I try to take some deep breaths as the butterflies commence. As I get back to my room and pack my toiletries I get a call from Sarah. Guess she thinks I might have gone walkies.

'Don't leave. We'll be miking you up soon'   Soon Dave or Cold Dave as I called him due to the temperature of the mic pack arrives. He fits me with a mic belt and the jobs done.

Sat on my own I get a call from the director Rich. 'Come down to the bridge, we want to do an interview' O.K. I head to the bridge on a windy day. My hair begins to look like it does first thing in the morning and THAT look lasts all week!

On the way I get a panicked call from Sarah who now believes I have walked. 'No, I'm meeting Rich.'
'Come straight back won't you?'  'Yes Mum'

Following my interview I head back and wait for the call to leave. Around 1.30 I do precisely that taking a deep breath as I do. I head to Inverness Castle where the R.V's -ours and the production team wait and my first taste of my new companions. I meet Al a curly haired, amiable quiz master in his real life, Lauren an American living in Edinburgh and Jen a bubbly girl who once shared student accomodation with Mark Austen -the ITN newsreader!  Finally Kevin. An early 60s guy and a Mastermind finalist. All of a sudden confronted with these boffins I'm beginning to question my quiz prowess. Our journey is about to begin....

Episode 2 (prt 2)

Off into Inverness I make the decision to tackle this experience head on, to be myself whether that upsets people or not and to be a real team player as a quiz member.

As I walk into Inverness I spot two very large kestrels. As I take a pic with the flash on I notice the sign 'no flashes'. Apparently they can kill a dog no matter what size. Did think about my beared collie and my sedate chow chow hmm.

Clutching the map given to me I try and locate my meeting place for tomorrow but divert to the Eastfield Shopping complex, a  v nice mango smoothie and a pretty good women's choir raising money for Marie Curie. I wore my daffodil with pride throughout the trip.

Soon I head to the bridge overlooking the waterfront close to my rendevous. The sun glistens on the water and looks pretty spectacular. It's gonna be a great day !

Episode 2

I arrive on the Saturday at Inverness Airport to be greeted by a taxi driver holding a card with my name on. I didn't realise just how expansive and beautiful Scotland was having only been there twice before.

On my way to the hotel in the centre of Inverness the Assistant Producer calls me 'we'll be meeting you at the hotel soon. Let us know your room number'.

This was beginning to feel real. Tomorrow my journey with my companions would begin.

As I check in to a very atmospheric room (haunted) I do what every girl does, I make a brew and start panicking about my luggage , other people's luggage and the confined space.

Knock at the door and the series producer Steve and Sarah arrive. 'You're the glamour element'  Me? Must be the boots :)

Here's a map. X marks the spot where you'll meet the others tomorrow. You'll get a call when it's time to walk. Walk? With this luggage, they're kidding right? -it's my first test. Urm. It's not far -ten minutes. Well, nervous already. What if I get lost. Does the R.V go without me and I leave with my head bowed? Not a chance!

Well, tell us about the psychic stuff................

My V.T shows me giving a psychic reading.

Well, I'm clairaudient -I hear stuff. I often back a reading up with my Egyptian Tarot too. I miss nothing. I pick up everything.  I could see the nervousness surface. I knew I'd be talked about back at base.

'Tight schedule, we need to go. I'll see you tomorrow'  Steve said
'And I'll see you later, my room is just across from you' Sarah said

Free to go around Inverness in the Scottish sunshine. My exuberance was at a high so off I set on my exploration!

Touring Scotland and living together in an R.V for CH4 with a bunch of strangers

Episode 1

I'm one of those people that say 'YES' when an opportunity comes along then think about what I've committed to after!  SO, when I auditioned for a new CH4 pilot 'Pointyheads' and was selected I lept at the opportunity.

'You'll be going on a nice little trip around Scotland taking in the scenery taking part in nightly quizzes as a T.V quiz team............... see it as a holiday'  YEAH right.

Imagine meeting four strangers and living in a confined space with them but needing to get on as you're a team expected to win. Double pressure but weirdly accompanied by a deep intrigue.

Think BIG Brother on wheels with intelligent people!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yep, I'd like to share my story with you.x
